About Us

When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when by his own evil desires he is lured away and enticed.
- James 1:14-15

We are a non profit organization that helps find recovery and a new way of living through a faith based program. The state of Indiana has recognized Detoxing the Soul as an up and coming community program. What makes detoxing the soul different from other programs is that is was founded and has leaders that know what it’s like to struggle with addiction and rise above it.

Recovery Process

Being in a group is preferred but one on one is also a possibility. We stress this as it’s important that others can hold you accountable, it may be recommended to some to meet on a bi-weekly basis.

Getting Counseling and Therapy.
More common than not those who are in recovery have a lot of demons they need to work through, and there is no point in going into recovery and not healing the mind as well as the addiction.

Our lessons are based on life lessons and what addicts go through personally when they go through addiction and recovery. (Ex. Why me? How Addiction Affects Others, Personal Development.)

Process Personal Hurt
Inventory, and understand why they made decisions. Getting to terms with their own personal hurt, coming to terms with why they made the decisions they did. Going on a journey to discover why their broken and how they can recover and find their strengths.

The most important part of recovery. Learning how to live as an addict in recovery.

"You have to come in with an open mind ready to receive as well as be giving of yourself and be open. (Ashley) is a great instructor and set a good example of letting us know that we can stay clean."

Lonnie Waktins
"I would like to say that Ms. Ashley’s class has had a real impact on me. It is very helpful to see and her a person's testimony who has been in prison and came from where I’m at now and risen above. In closing this has been a great blessing for me and I know it will also be for others like me"
Brian J
"Ms. Ashley is an honest person, someone I can trust. She’s great with her meetings and she helps everyone when she can."
